Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Precision oncology is transforming the landscape of cancer care by leveraging genomic profiling and molecular insights to guide personalized treatment strategies. Advances in next-generation sequencing, liquid biopsies, and multi-omics technologies have enabled a deeper understanding of tumor heterogeneity, clonal evolution, and mechanisms underlying therapy resistance in advanced cancers.

The integration of genomic data into clinical practice has facilitated the identification of actionable mutations, predictive biomarkers, and targeted therapeutic options. This has significantly improved patient stratification and treatment selection, particularly for individuals with refractory or treatment-resistant malignancies. In addition, the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning is enhancing data interpretation, enabling more accurate predictions of treatment response and disease progression.

Despite these advancements, challenges such as tumor heterogeneity, acquired resistance, and limited access to targeted therapies continue to hinder optimal outcomes. Ongoing research is focused on overcoming these barriers through innovative therapeutic approaches, combination strategies, and the development of novel biomarkers.

This Special Issue aims to bring together cutting-edge research and comprehensive reviews that explore genomic profiling, biomarker discovery, and personalized treatment strategies in precision oncology. We welcome contributions that address translational research, clinical applications, and innovative approaches to improve outcomes in advanced and resistant cancers.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted through the journal’s online submission system by registering and logging in. Once registered, authors can proceed with the submission process. Submissions will be accepted until the specified deadline.

All manuscripts that pass initial editorial screening will undergo a rigorous single-blind peer-review process. Accepted papers will be published online promptly and included within the Special Issue.

We invite original research articles, review articles, and short communications. Authors planning submissions may send a tentative title and a short abstract (approximately 250 words) to the Editorial Office for preliminary evaluation.

Submitted manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere (except conference proceedings). Authors should follow the Instructions for Authors to ensure proper formatting and compliance with journal standards.

As an open-access journal, an Article Processing Charge (APC) may apply upon acceptance. Authors are encouraged to ensure high-quality English; professional editing services may be used if needed.
