Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Oncology practice increasingly encounters complex immune-related and treatment-induced complications that significantly affect patient outcomes, quality of life, and clinical decision-making. With the expanding use of immunotherapies, targeted agents, and multimodal treatment strategies, clinicians face evolving challenges in early recognition, accurate diagnosis, and effective management of these complications in real-world settings.
Despite growing awareness, there remains variability in how such adverse events are identified, reported, and managed across clinical practice. There is a pressing need to consolidate clinical experience and evidence to better guide practitioners in addressing these complications promptly and effectively.
I am pleased to invite you to contribute to a Special Issue of Current Oncology entitled “Oncology Case Reports: Immune-Related and Treatment-Induced Complications in Clinical Practice.” This Special Issue aims to highlight clinically significant case reports and case series that provide valuable insights into the diagnosis, management, and outcomes of therapy-related complications.
This Special Issue will bring together high-quality case-based evidence and expert perspectives that enhance our understanding of adverse events associated with cancer therapies, particularly in the context of emerging treatments and personalized oncology care.
We welcome submissions including, but not limited to, the following areas:
- Immune-related adverse events associated with immunotherapy;
- Treatment-induced toxicities from chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and targeted therapies;
- Rare or atypical clinical presentations and diagnostic challenges;
- Multisystem complications and their management strategies;
- Case-based insights into early detection and intervention;
- Supportive care approaches in managing therapy-related complications;
- Real-world clinical experiences and lessons learned.
If you are interested in contributing, I would be happy to discuss potential case topics or abstracts with you.
I look forward to the possibility of receiving your valuable contribution.
