Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Advancements in cardiovascular imaging have revolutionized the diagnosis, risk stratification, and management of heart disease. Modern imaging modalities now provide detailed structural, functional, and molecular insights that significantly enhance clinical decision-making and improve patient outcomes.

Techniques such as echocardiography, cardiac computed tomography (CT), cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR), nuclear cardiology, and hybrid imaging approaches have transformed the evaluation of coronary artery disease, cardiomyopathies, valvular heart disease, congenital heart disorders, and heart failure. Emerging technologies—including strain imaging, 3D echocardiography, artificial intelligence–assisted analysis, and quantitative perfusion assessment—are further refining diagnostic accuracy and personalized treatment planning.

Despite these advances, challenges remain in optimizing imaging selection, integrating multimodality data, improving cost-effectiveness, and translating imaging findings into meaningful clinical outcomes.

This Special Issue aims to highlight current innovations and future directions in advanced cardiovascular imaging, with particular emphasis on their impact on clinical decision-making and patient-centered outcomes. We welcome high-quality submissions addressing, but not limited to:

  • Advances in echocardiography and strain imaging
  • Cardiac CT and coronary plaque assessment
  • Cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) applications
  • Nuclear and molecular cardiovascular imaging
  • Multimodality imaging strategies
  • Imaging-guided interventional and structural procedures
  • Artificial intelligence and machine learning in cardiac imaging
  • Imaging biomarkers and risk stratification
  • Clinical outcome studies influenced by imaging findings

Through this Special Issue, we aim to provide a comprehensive overview of cutting-edge diagnostic techniques and their translation into improved cardiovascular care.

We invite original research articles, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, technical reports, and comprehensive review articles.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted through the journal’s online submission system at:
https://auctoresonline.org/journals/cardiology-research-and-reports

All submissions will undergo initial editorial screening followed by a rigorous peer-review process. Accepted papers will be published online promptly and grouped within the Special Issue collection.

We welcome original research articles, review articles, case reports, and short communications. Authors planning to submit may send a proposed title and abstract (approximately 200–250 words) to the Editorial Office for preliminary consideration.

Submitted manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Authors should prepare manuscripts according to the journal’s Instructions for Authors.

We look forward to your valuable contributions to this rapidly evolving field of cardiovascular medicine.

Benefits

Benefits of Publishing in a Special Issue

Publishing in a Special Issue provides valuable advantages for authors by strengthening the reach, impact, and recognition of their research within the global scientific community.

Focused Thematic Visibility

Special Issues organize articles around a clearly defined research theme, making it easier for readers to locate relevant work within broad-scope journals. This structured format enhances topic-based exploration and improves the overall reading experience.

Enhanced Discoverability and Citation Potential

By consolidating related studies into a single curated collection, Special Issues significantly increase article visibility. Concentrated thematic exposure often leads to higher readership, improved engagement, and greater citation impact.

Strengthened Research Collaboration

Special Issues bring together experts and emerging scholars working in similar domains. This promotes academic dialogue, encourages interdisciplinary exchange, and supports the development of long-term research collaborations.

Active Promotion and Wider Reach

Articles published in Special Issues are frequently promoted through journal platforms, newsletters, and social media channels, expanding their audience and scientific influence.

Extended Dissemination Opportunities

High-quality Special Issue collections may be considered for additional publication formats or broader distribution initiatives, further extending the visibility of the research.

Continuous Publication and Accessibility

Accepted manuscripts are published online promptly and added to the Special Issue collection on a rolling basis, ensuring immediate availability and sustained accessibility for the research community.
