Abstract

.

Dissecting the psychosexual intricacies associated with tobacco-mediated clinical infertility offers scientifically stimulating avenues for evidence-based design of novel immune-pharmacological intervention strategies in cost-effective management of genetically susceptible cohorts of Asian-Indian and American ethnicity.

“Infertility” is defined as the inability to conceive following 12 months of regular unprotected sexual intercourse; the etiopathogenesis of reproductive disorders, primarily female infertility and male infertility, is indeed intriguing, and warrants identification of “immuno-inflammatory biochemical regulators” primarily Toll-like Receptors for eventual development of predictive biomarkers for clinical infertility in “at-risk” susceptible population-pools worldwide [1-3]. Psychological burden of infertility among childless women may be an underlying cause of depressive traits, anxiety, anger, restlessness, and marital discords/family problems; therefore, adequate psychosexual counseling and motivational talks may be instrumental and supportive in creating an overall positive outlook during the course of IVF treatment [4].

Bioethics, scientific integrity, and good practice clinical research are core tenets of high-quality biomedical research; the author of this “psychosexual snapshot” editorial with earned academic credits in bioethics from graduate schools of biomedical sciences at premier medical universities at Texas and Nebraska, USA and clinical observerships/interactions in urology at prestigious medical college(s)/hospitals and laboratory at New York, USA, would like to emphasize that study participants’ electronic medical records with precision-based neuropsychiatric assessments of psychosexual distress, marital relationship incompatibility, blame-game for childlessness, domestic violence and stigma, including social withdrawal, be accurately extracted and reviewed from the hospital-based registry for designing a public health-oriented “TLR-Psychosexual genetic blueprint” for clinical infertility management in the overwhelming Covid-19/Omicron pandemic era.
