There have also been predictions of when the next earthquakes will occur in a number of countries, such as China, Russia, Argentina, Peru, Spain, Japan, and the results have been published. Results were also obtained for Cuba and published, but this issue is not of interest to the management of the CMP of Villa Clara. Despite all this, in 2024 we had our scientific file prepared to present as an Assistant Researcher, but we moved and the documents for the English test and the social sciences test were lost, and the system did not support us with a letter to be able to present the file. In 2025 the documents appeared and we presented the file, but the results are not available until 2026. This is abusive since the file was submitted in April 2024, the standard of living has risen and the salary only barely lasts for 15 days, which constitutes a demotivation to work, and makes it necessary to think about going abroad and working there to be able to live decently. Only in August we were approved to put the Nauta Hogar and no We were able to afford the rooter, we had to borrow money, in the end the center collaborated by buying it as a useful means.

During the pandemic, a COVID-19 forecasting system was also developed for Villa Clara, Cuba, and eight other countries in Latin America, North America, and Europe. We took the pandemic as an opportunity to test our prediction methodology, even at the risk of our own health, as we lived outside the city, lacked transportation, communications, and didn't have a computer at home at first.

I have been working in science for 35 years in Villa Clara and across the country. Since I joined Meteorology, the need for us to receive seniority pay has been raised at union meetings, but they have never accepted it. I have therefore come to the conclusion that our science system is useless. We have obtained more than 50 publications in the last 5 years in journals of all kinds, national and international, and helped in the training of doctors in Medical Sciences and in 2016 we presented a thesis that electronically approved Medical Sciences, but to be a Doctor you have to go through an exhausting and capricious system of workshops, so in conclusion the presentation of the results of our Doctorate is not attractive, if you want us to be doctors, grant us an Honoris Causa, for that there is enough work done in very difficult conditions, sick and with practically no access to the internet with the problems of electricity, the salary that is not enough, etc.

It's important to note that, as scientists, we're invited to speak at international events, and even though we cover many of the expenses from abroad, we haven't been able to participate because the Cuban side doesn't have resources for provincial researchers. For those of us who have stayed in Cuba and are older, there's no future. Young people are seeing this and are making decisions to pursue their life plans in another country. Although they are exploited, they provide the resources to live and develop with a better quality of life.

Regarding Artificial Intelligence, no training courses have been planned, and even if they have been, that opportunity hasn't reached us, even with our overwhelming scientific output.
