Introduction

Conventional medicine is based on the Germ Theory. Alternative/complementary forms of therapy include acupuncture, aromatherapy, chiropractic, homeopathy, naturopathy, osteopathy, reflexology, ayurvedic and reiki. [1]

The Germ-Terrain duality theory of disease states that the etiology of certain diseases/diseased states is better explained as a complex interplay between germs and the inherent anatomical/physiological integrity of the body cells.

It argues that the etiology of certain diseases is not fully explained merely by the presence of germs (Germ Theory) or by a mere loss of cellular integrity (Terrain Theory).

As a result the prevention and treatment of such diseases should focus not just on fighting germs but on maintaining/restoring the anatomical/physiological cellular integrity.

The Germ-Terrain duality theory is a harmonization of the current Germ Theory (popularized by Louis Pasteur) and the hitherto discarded Terrain Theory (popularized by Pierre Bechamp). [2-4]

I hereby propose a new type of alternative therapy called Seun Ayoade’s Medical System-S.A.M.S. SAMS will be based on the germ terrain duality theory. Under the novel frontier of SAMS in the course of diagnosis the physician shall ask two questions viz-

What is the germ situation of the patient?

What is the terrain situation of the patient?

In treatment, the doctor shall ask two questions viz-

1. What will be the germ standing of this patient vis a vis any therapy?

2. What will be the terrain standing of the patient vis a vis any therapy?

A précis of the precepts and maxims of SAMS are-

Mapping and evaluating the microzymas of the patient, in other words a cellular dust reading [5-7]

Blood and body ph analysis

Primo vascular system analysis [8]

Utilization of Kirlian photography/microscopy and related methods.
