Abstract

Introduction: Endometrial polyps are considered begin tumours that protrude inside the uterine cavity. It affects women in reproductive or in menopausal age. It can regress spontaneously or if symptomatic, it can be treated efficiently by hysteroscopy excision.

Purpose: to demonstrate that endometrium polyps can be treated without using curettage but only using homeopathic medication without needing to do any invasive procedure.

Methods: through two case report (47 and 57 years-old women respectively, with endometrium polyps diagnosed by routine ultrasound). Both patients were programed to do hysteroscopy. They were doing acupuncture (for treatment of low back pain and pain in the shoulder respectively) using needles and mustard seeds. I decided to prescribe for both patients a homeopathy medication called Medorrhinum to treat their miasma. In both cases, they intake the medication first with 30CHXX-20 ml. After one month, the patients need to have the second round of this medication, now with 200CHXX-20 ml. After one month from the first medication, it was possible to intake the third medication, now in 1000CHXX-20 ml.

Results: the endometrial polyps disappeared completely after the intake of these medications in both patients without needing to use hysteroscopy exam.

Conclusion: the use of homeopathy medication called Medorrinun was very important to recover from the endometrium polyp without the necessity in using hysteroscopy exam and do the curettage.

Introduction

An endometrial polyp or uterine polyp is an abnormal growth containing glands, stroma and blood vessels projecting from the lining of the uterus (endometrium) that occupies spaces small or large enough to fill the uterine cavity. They are found during both reproductive and postmenopausal phases of life. [1]

They range in size from about 5 mm to as large as filling the whole uterine cavity and can be found in all age groups, however, it is most common between the age 40 and 49. The endometrium varies from normal cycling endometrium to simple or complex hyperplasia in the presence of endometrial polyps, and rarely endometrial cancer can be found. [1]

The exact prevalence of endometrial polyps is not known, however, 82% of women who had polyps checked by histopathology were

asymptomatic. However, endometrial polyps have been implicated in about 50% of cases of abnormal uterine bleeding and 35% of infertility. A very small fraction of polyps, about 1.0%, may become hyperplastic or show malignant transformation. [1]

Purpose;

To demonstrate that endometrial polyp can be treated clinically using homeopathy medications and other Chinese medicine’s tools (Chinese dietary counseling, auricular acupuncture), reducing the rate of side effects caused by the surgical procedure.

Methods

Through two cases reports of patients that went to my clinic with diagnosis of endometrial polyps.

Case Report One:

This patient was a 57-year-old woman with endometrium polyps diagnosed by routine ultrasound.

She came to my clinic due to lower back pain and during one of the acupuncture sessions, she commented that she had a hysteroscopy scheduled to collect the polyps.

I did her chakras’ energy centers measurement and all her chakras’ were in the lowest level of energy, rated one out of eight, with the exception of the seventh chakra, that was normal, rated in eight.

I decided to prescribe one medication before performing the surgery. The medication was called Medorrhinum and it was prescribed to intake these kinds of medication to treat the second phase of miasma, according to some theories in homeopathy. She started treatment with a single dose at a dosage of 30CHXX-20ml. After a month, it was prescribed that the patient increases the dosage to 200CHXX-20ml. After another 30 days, she took the last dose, at the dosage of 1000CHXX-20ml.

Also, the patient was orientated to use homeopathy medications to replenish the chakra’ energy centers (Lung-fourth chakra, Kidney-second chakra, Liver-first chakra, Heart-third chakra and Spleen-fifth chakra) for a period of one year or more or for the entire life. The medications prescribed were Silicea, Natrum muriaticum, Phosphorus, Sulphur, Calcarea carbonica, respectively for the treatment of each internal massive organ or chakras’ energy centers. The first sequence of medication prescribed was using at the potency of 30CHXX-20. After one month, it was prescribed another sequence of the same medication, now at the potency of 200CHXX-20. After 30 days, it was prescribed another sequence using the same medications, now at the 1000CHXX-20. After 30 days, new sequence of medication was prescribed using 10.000CHXX-20. And finally, after one month and half, it was prescribed another sequence of medication, now at the potency of 50.000CHXX-20.

It was also oriented her to avoid the ingestion of dairy products, raw food, Cold water and sweets (to avoid the Spleen and pancreas energy deficiency). It was also guided to her to avoid the ingestion of coffee, soda and matte tea (to avoid the Kidney energy deficiency) . The last group of foods that was orientate to avoid was the ingestion of fried foods, chocolate, honey, coconut, alcoholic beverages, eggs, melted cheese (to avoid the energy deficiency in the Liver, Gallbladder and retention of Heat inside the body).

And the patient was submitted to do the acupuncture sessions to treat her low back pain and also, it was used the auricular acupuncture points to treat all energy imbalances between Yin, Yang, Qi and Blood and take out the Heat retention using apex ear bloodletting. The auricular acupuncture points used in this treatment were: Shen-men, Kidney, Liver, Spleen, Heart, Lungs, Occiput, Hunger point and womb point.

Results of case report One:

 A new ultrasound exam was asked after 90 days of the beginning of the treatment with Chinese medicine’s tools and the use of homeopathy medication so that no more polyp was found and the patient did not need to do the polyps collection, since the polyps had disappeared completely.

Case report two:

The second patient is V.F.P, 47-years-old, that through a routine gynecological exam in 2019, it was found a polyp in the endometrial region of about 3 centimeter through a ultrasound scan. The gynecologist asked more laboratorial exams to prepare the patient to remove it surgically. This patient was also treating pain in the leg using acupuncture so, she commented her new diagnosis of endometrial polyp with me and I decided to prescribe one homeopathy medication called Medorrinum 30CHXX-20, to see if would be enough to reduce the lesion.

She had also the diagnosis of chakras’ energy centers deficient in energy and she was using highly diluted medications (homeopathies according to the theory Constitutional Homeopathy of the Five Elements based on Traditional Chinese Medicine and crystal-based medications). And she was also following the Chinese dietary counseling avoiding the same foods that it was orientate to avoid in the first case report. The auricular acupuncture points used in this patient was the same used in the case report one and I will not repeat again.

As we were in the COVID-19 pandemic, the patient disappeared for 9 months and when she returned to be reevaluate, I asked for another uterine ultra-sound exam, to see the evolution of this polyp.

Results of case report two:

The result of ultrasound was that the endometrial polyp had disappeared completely after the treatment instituted and had no need to do the curettage anymore.

This article will be written following Hippocrates

Discussion:

 (c. 460 bce - c. 375 bce), oath, that said that “I will not use the knife, not even, verily, on sufferers from stone, but I will give place to such as are craftsmen therein”. [2]

According to Western medicine’s reasoning, management of endometrial polyps will depend on the symptoms presented by each patient, the risks of malignance and fertility issues. Small spontaneous polyps may resolve spontaneously. [1]

Curettage is frequently done in obstetrics and gynecology and although this procedure is frequently considered to be safe ad easy to perform in the daily practice, adverse effects can occur. The possible complications that can occur should be bleeding, cervical tears, perforation and infections. There are cases reported of perforation of bladder and bowels. [3]

There is other possible complication that is the formation of intra-uterine adhesion, known as Asherman syndrome, which can lead to fertility problems and menstrual disorders. Another problems effect in curettage is the risk of preterm birth in the sub sequent pregnancies. Pre-term is defined as birth before 37 weeks of gestation and continue to be the leading cause of morbidity and mortality in the perinatal period in developing countries. [4]

Homeopathy is a type of medication discovered by Hahnemann ( 1755-1843) when he starts to intake regular doses of cinchona, the ingestion of this substance begin to produce symptoms of intermittent fever like malaria in a mild degree. This leads to him the idea that if the patient has an illness, it could be cured by giving a medication that could produce similar symptoms of the same illness but in a slighter degree. [5]

Homeopathy works on three major fundamental theories which include:

(i) ‘Similia Similbus Curentur’ (like cures like) postulating that if a medicine causes a symptom in a healthy people, then this same medication can be used to treat that symptom in a patient. [6]

(ii) ‘memory of water’ in which a homeopathic remedy retains its biological properties after a series of dilution and succession, even diluted beyond Avogadro’s number. [6]

(iii) itch (psora), gonorrhea (sycosis), or syphilis (lues) are source of origin of all diseases. [6]

The concept of miasma has been one of the most controversial subjects in homeopathy ever since Hahnemann came up with his miasmatic theory. In fact, it has never been fully appreciated because it has never been fully understood. In an attempt to answer various hypothesis, opinions and experiments are set off in quest for scientific coherence and has been presented as a practical therapeutic tool to enhance prescribing skills by different clinicians and researchers. [6]

“Miasma is pathogenic energy or dynamism, susceptible to transfer or to transmit. The miasmatic state is the diathesis or constitutional change that determines the miasma.” [7]

In order to take practical advantage of the knowledge of miasma, first it is necessary to understand what really is to use this knowledge in clinical practice, and, for that, it is necessary to have a classification of the remedies in a targeted way. In other words, the need to understand miasma is to know what basically serves as a characteristic. [7]

Each miasma is described by a pathophysiological mechanism that characterizes it, a mechanism that indicates the miasmatic level. [8]

The firs miasma is Psora:

The word Psora is derived from the Hebrew 'Tsorat' and the Greek 'Psora' and means a groove or stigma. Hahnemann claimed that all chronic non-venereal diseases are psoric. This includes most diseases of a chronic nature, all skin diseases, most mental illnesses in addition to syphilitic, allergies, varicose veins, hemorrhoids, most dysfunctional diseases of organs and systems, etc. [6, 9]

It lists, among others, phlegm, asthma, pleurisy, hemoptysis, hydrocephalus, stomach ulcers, scrotal swelling, jaundice, swollen glands, cataracts, diabetes, tuberculosis, epilepsy, fevers and urine suppression, all of which are typically psychic manifestations. In addition, of course, the full range of skin problems. [6, 9]

The main psychological remedies he suggests include Sulphur, Natrum muriaticum, Calcarea carbonica, Arsenicum album, Lycopodium, Phosphorus, Mezereum, Graphite, Causticum, Hepar Sulphur, Petroleum, Silica, Zinc and Psorinum, among many others. [6, 9]

Hahnemann also stated that Psora was the oldest and most insidious miasma and that it was derived from rashes of various types in the past, such as scabies (itchiness), leprosy and psoriasis. These were contracted by the ancestors or in the person's early childhood. The suppression of these conditions, especially through the use of ointments, he considered the primary cause of Psora. [6, 9]

The second miasma is Syphilis:

This miasma is considered responsible for many diseases of the nervous system, blood and skeleton, as well as for a series of psychological disorders, including alcoholism, depression, suicidal impulses, insanity, loss of smell and taste, blindness, deafness and ulcerations. It is also associated with many heart diseases, some vesicular skin rashes and diseases that have a defined nocturnal frequency. The main remedies are Arsenicum, Aurum, Mercury, Phosphorus and Lycopodium, Nitric acid, among many others. [6, 9]

The third miasma is Sycosis:

This miasma is considered responsible for many sexual and urinary disorders and for disorders of the joints and mucous membranes. These conditions were also aggravated by wet weather and contact with the sea. Thus, arthritis and rheumatism, asthma, phlegm, bronchitis, cystitis and warts are all considered partially or mainly sycotic in character. The wart came to be seen as the underlying archetype of this miasma, as it is also considered responsible for all warty growths and growths. The main remedies are Thuja, Lycopodium, Natrum Sulphur, Causticum, Kali Sulphur, Staphysagria, Calcarea and Sepia, among many others. [6, 9]

It is always a reactive pathophysiological mechanism both in the psychic and in the physical sphere: [6, 9]

Psora = physiological excitation – exoneration [6, 9]

Sycosis = hypertrophy – proliferation [6, 9]

Syphilinism = destruction – ulceration [6, 9]

Cancerism = breakdown [6, 9]

The medication Medorrhinum can be used to treat the three miasmatic levels, but its main characteristic is that it is a sycotic medicine. The symptoms he treats are related to tissue proliferation, such as tumors or compressions, poor memory, forgetfulness, as well as rheumatic symptoms. [6, 9]

The reason to choose homeopathy medication instead of allopathic medication is due to Arndt-Schultz Law that was created in 1888 by two German doctors that says that for all substances, small doses stimulate, moderate doses inhibit and overdose kill, showed in the Figure 1. [10]

Figure 1: Arndt-Schultz Law.

Knowing that I also like to bring this data of a recently research I published, where I analyzed 1000 patient’s chakras’ energy centers but only able to search for 409 files of measurement of the chakras energies centers, where I could note that of all these patients, only 2 patients had energy in the chakras’ energy centers, that correspond to the internal organs. This lack of energy is caused by diverse factors, but one of them is the use of highly concentrate or allopathic medications, as demonstrated in the Arndt-Schulz law, in the Figure 1. The use of highly concentrated medications can reduce the vital energy and the use of highly diluted medications can increase the vital energy,  that was low in both patients reported in this article. [11]

Table 2: Research measuring a 1000 chakras’ energy centers of my patients in Brazil.

For this, even more, it is important to increase the divulgation and the use of homeopathies medications, where today the use of allopathic drugs ( highly concentrated medications) is bigger than the use of homeopathy ( highly diluted medications) , but we need to incentive the doctors to use the homeopathies even more, due to the new pattern of energy found in the human being, as I showed in the article I (2021) wrote entitled Energy Alterations and Chakras’ Energy Deficiencies and Propensity to SARS-CoV-2 Infection and in another article entitled Is the Population in the World the Same as in the Past? [11, 12]

Table 3: Homeopathy medications used in the treatment of lack of energy in the internal five massive organs.

In these two cases reported in this article, the use of homeopathy medications were the major tools used by me to produce cure to both patients that were suffering from endometrial polyps. In both cases, the homeopathy medications used were to treat the symptoms (endometrial polyp) but also the root (lack of energy inside the five internal massive organs) according to the Constitutional Homeopathy of the Five Elements Based on Traditional Chinese Medicine, showed in the Table 3. The use of Chinese dietary counseling and acupuncture were also important to make the equilibrium of energy between Yin, Yang, Qi and Blood to restore the health and harmony. As said by Hippocrates, “we need to treat the patient and not the diseases itself”. [3, 13]

Even both patients were cured using only these tools, it is important to emphasize that I treated both patient holistically, treating all the chakras’ energy deficiencies, that corresponds to the five internal massive organs, because the less energy state, as demonstrated in this article, could be a factor for formation any chronic disease in the future, the worst of them is cancer, as showed by me (2021) in the article entitled What Are the Markers That Predict the Development of Having Cancer in the Future Without Laboratory or Radiological Tests? [14]

But the use of this type of homeopathy medications was important to treat the miasma of the patient, and the tissue proliferations were treated accordingly. If the patients were only to treat the polyps without treating the emotional aspects involved in this kind of treatment, the miasma aspect of the patient would never be treated and both patients could have more propensity to have another tumor in other sites. [11]

It is important to say that homeopathy was recognized by the Federal Council of Medicine in Brazil in 1980 and by the Council of Medical Specialties of the Brazilian Medical Association in 1990. [15]

Conclusion:

The conclusion of this study is that endometrial polyps can be treated without doing curettage and the use of homeopathy medications in this treatment, especially the use of Medorrinum and the homeopathy to replenish the lack of energy in the five internal massive organs according to Constitutional Homeopathy of the Five Elements Based on Traditional Chinese Medicine is very important to treat the miasma and also, the treatment of the lack of energy in the five internal massive organs, that has behind all this symptoms and not just treating only the polyp itself, as usually made by Western medicine’s point of view.
